Aevy contributed to the SolarPower Europe Technical Due Diligence Best Practice Guidelines for Hybrid Utility Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems, the industry standard for TDD on solar and hybrid solar-plus-storage projects.
The guidelines cover the full project lifecycle across five phases: development, construction, commissioning, operations, and end-of-life. Each phase defines what a rigorous technical review should include, from grid connection studies and equipment specifications in early phases, to performance monitoring, O&M contract review, and degradation assessment in later ones.
Aevy's risk identification engine is grounded in these guidelines. When Aevy flags a deviation or gap in a document set, it references the relevant section of the SPE BPG, not ad hoc reviewer judgment. That traceability matters for lenders, advisors, and asset managers who need an auditable basis for their findings.

If you're in operations, read Phase 5. It's the most practically actionable part of the document for anyone managing an operating asset, and it's underused. Most TDD workflows focus on construction and commissioning; the operational phase often gets a checkbox treatment. The guidelines push back on that.
